Rätsel is a drink we made with Drankerij, a liquor store for the whole family in Amsterdam Oost. They sell a wide range of drinks, from sodas to ciders and ‘buchas to beers. Together we wanted to expand our universe of drinks and set out to discover something new. We started with a Berliner Weisse brew, and added classic new wave lemonade flavors like elderflower and rhubarb.
Rätsel tickles the sour part of the palette, it’s pretty in pink and nicely fizzy. With a 2,5% ABV, it exists somewhere between a soda and a beer. Pairs perfectly with an afternoon of elderflower picking in the park, but also with the rhubarb crumble after Christmas dinner. A little undefined, but very fun and fine.
