Microlife

Would all life cease to exist if all microbes were to *disappear*? Not immediately, but what would be left wouldn’t exactly be pleasant. Microbes are at the core of all things good, and essential to making beer. No microbes, no beer. Hence, Microlife – a collaboration of Oedipus and ARTIS-Micropia, that highlights some superstar microbes. Such as Pichia yeast and a Lactobacillus bacteria, that give this beer its peach and apricot flavours and fresh sour edge. The Brettanomyces yeast is one that never stops working, it continues to expand the flavour of the beer after it’s bottled. Without it, life would be bland - it’s those cunning little microbes that really bring life to the party.
